Full Bio

Hello, I’m Elham Safanasab — a psychoanalyst and analytic therapist. I believe many forms of emotional pain take shape in layers that are not always eased by purely rational explanations. Sometimes we need to give our experiences meaning through the language of feelings, get closer to their roots, and experience a safe therapeutic relationship so the mind can find space to rebuild. In my clinical work, a “safe space” is not just a phrase; it is a place where you can speak — or even remain silent — without haste, judgment, or pressure to reach quick conclusions. In psychoanalytic psychotherapy, words are more than a report of events; they carry traces of meaning. Together we work with narratives, repetitions, conflicts, and emotional bonds so what has remained inner and hidden becomes easier to see and understand. One area I hold particular sensitivity to is the experience of immigration and living between two cultures — a place where homesickness, a sense of rootlessness, future anxiety, adaptation pressure, and relationship ruptures can coexist. For many people, the mother tongue is not only a tool for expression; it is the home of the psyche. That is why at Ravankav Online we try to make therapy a place where words in your first language can have an even deeper healing power. If you’re struggling with anxiety, identity confusion, loneliness, emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck in repeating patterns, therapy can be an opportunity to pause, see, and rebuild. The therapeutic process takes time, but choosing to be seen and heard is a meaningful step toward change.
